The Cooperative Way

The core of LCNS is the founders’ philosophy of participation.  Having each child’s “inner circle” of family and friends participate in the learning process models the belief that learning is a skill and life asset.  Equally important is the belief that being aware of our community, environment and the world around us helps make us better participants and contributors.

By collectively and actively engaging with our children, in a productive way, we expose them to a richer range of experiences, personalities and relationships.  Most importantly, as parents, we are better able to relate to where each child is at socially, emotionally and intellectually.  This equips both parents and educators to better assist their growth as a well-rounded learner – building the components of lifelong confidence, learning and success.
